Teaching Kids to be Caring and Compassionate

I’ve been giving a lot of thought on this subject. How can we instill compassion to children and what are the activities we can bring to them which might make a difference in how they think about the world?  Even better… how can we influence compassionate behavior in them such as being kind and respectful to animals or
giving a helping hand to those less fortunate?
The biggest question for me was, how can I use one of my gifts to help children become good adults? I posed this question to my Terrier Max during our morning walk . Well, it didn’t take long for Max to turn the light bulb in my head. He said, “Give a card work shop to kids and let them give the money to a charitable organization!” So here we go…. not much time but I am sure we can get some kids signed up for this Love Bug Valentines Card Workshop!
